HARAMkah VALENTINE day .

Kenyataan pahit saat ini banyak sekali ABG Muslim dan Muslimah yang terkena penyakit ikut-ikutan pada budaya barat atau Nashroni akibat pengaruh televisi dan media massa lainnya. Salah satunya adalah dengan ikut merayakan Valentine's Day yang pada dasarnya adalah mengenang kembali pendeta St. Valentine.

Bila dalam merayakannya bermaksud untuk mengenang kembali St. Valentine maka itu sudah jelas ia telah kafir. Namun apabila ia tidak bermaksud demikian maka ia telah melakukan kemunkaran besar dalam Islam.

Ibnu Qayyim berkata : "Memberi selamat atas acara ritual orang kafir yang khusus bagi mereka, telah disepakati bahwa perbuatan tersebut adalah haram. Berarti ia telah memberi selamat atas perbuatan mereka menyembah salib. Bahkan perbuatan tersebut lebih besar dosanya di sisi Allah dan lebih dimurkai daripada perbuatan minum khomr atau membunuh. Banyak orang yang kurang mengerti agama, terjerumus dalam satu perbuatan tanpa menyadari buruknya perbuatan tersebut. Seperti memberi selamat kepada orang lain atas perbuatan maksiat, bid'ah atau kekufuran maka ia telah menyiapkan diri untuk mendapatkan kemarahan dan kemurkaan Allah SWT."

Selain dari itu, mengekornya orang Muslim terhadap gaya mereka akan membuat mereka senang, lagi pula menyerupai kaum kafir dapat melahirkan kecintaan dan keterikatan hati, Allah SWT berfirman : 
"Hai orang-orang yang beriman,janganlah kamu mengambil orang Yahudi dan Nashroni menjadi pemimpinmu, sebahagian mereka adalah pemimpin bagi sebahagian yang lain. Barang siapa diantara kamu mengambil mereka jadi pemimpin, maka sesungguhnya orang itu termasuk golongan mereka. Sesungguhnya Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang zalim. (QS. Al Maidah : 51)

Dalam Islam, kita mempunyai pengganti yang jauh lebih baik dari itu, sehingga kita tidak perlu meniru dan menyerupai mereka. Diantaranya bahwa seorang Ibu mempunyai kedudukan yang tinggi, kita bisa mempersembahkan ungkapan kasih sayang kita kepadanya dari waktu ke waktu, demikian pula dengan ayah dan yang lainnya, tetapi hal itu tidak kita lakukan khusus pada saat yang dirayakan orang kafir.
